In this episode, CancerNetwork spoke with 2 experts, Greg Thurber, PhD, and Aditya Bardia, MD, MPH, about their insights regarding the development of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and their application to treating patients with cancer at the 16th Annual World ADC Meeting in San Diego.

Thurber, associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, discussed a seminar he gave titled, “Contextualizing Learnings From Translational Profiles of Approved ADCs to Unlock Best Approaches to Preclinical Dosing in Mouse Models,” as well as takeaways from a workshop he was set to present later in the conference covering multiscale mechanisms of ADC distribution, among other topics.

Then Bardia, program director of Breast Medical Oncology and assistant chief of Translational Research of the Hematology-Oncology Division at UCLA, discussed his presentation titled, “Reviewing the ADC Clinical & Approval Landscape: What Direction are ADCs Heading to Reshape Frontline Oncology Treatments For Patients?,” and more broadly touched upon his experience in using ADCs to treat patients with breast cancer, as well as new developments with these agents that he is excited to see in the near future.
