At the University Hospital La Paz in Madrid, cardiology and oncology specialists work together in a dedicated cardio-oncology team to monitor and manage cardiotoxicity, a serious side effect of cancer treatment.

Led by Dr. López (Cardiology) and Dr. Higuera (Oncology), the team uses AI-enhanced ultrasound and cardiac imaging to safeguard patients’ heart health while they undergo cancer therapy.
