For the first time, patients on a new CAR T-cell therapy for multiple myeloma are experiencing remission long enough to be cautious deemed cured of their disease.

Ehsan Malek, MD, Director of Multiple Myeloma Translational Research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, says new research shows one-third of patients on BCMA CAR T-cell therapy tested negative for minimal residual disease after five years.
