A first of its kind in Israel, a joint venture between Sheba Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology, Meuhedet HMO, and Outburn LTD. Israel's leading FHIR implementation company: A FHIR-based solution for greenlighting treatment or rejecting/redirecting oncology patients scheduled to receive treatment at a care facility, based on their bloodwork. This prevents patients from arriving for treatment, only to be sent home due to poor bloodwork. This is especially relevant for people arriving from rural areas to a tertiary center. The system has 3 components:
1. Primary care center receive a request for the relevant bloodwork ahead of the treatment.
2. Answer is delivered to the hospital.
3. Full automation of approval process, no human actions required, from patient or staff.
Since its launch in May, 1 in 15 patients have been notified in advance they shouldn't arrive. The system can be implemented anywhere in the world and saves time and funds for patients and organizations alike.
