Dr. Arvind Krishnamurthy, Professor and Head of Surgical Oncology at the Cancer Institute (WIA), explains why India needs its own cancer genomic database.

He highlights the under-representation of Indian populations in global datasets, key differences in the genomic landscape of Indian cancers, and how these insights can improve prevention, early diagnosis, targeted therapy, and prognostication.
