How you been experiencing urinary tract infections (UTIs)?

They are totally disruptive, impacting ability to work, have intimacy (sex), spend time with family, sleep, and, frankly, they hurt. Not only that, they can be dangerous if not treated.

There are answers beyond antibiotics. Finding a treatable cause [e.g. genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), kidney or bladder stones, urinary retention, elevated post void residual (PVR), bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), prostate problems, pelvic organ prolapse, urethral diverticulum] can be very helpful, as can prevention strategies (cranberry, vaginal estrogen in GSM, methenamine, drinking adequate water, voiding often enough).

THis video specifically addresses prevention of UTI, and please watch all the videos in this playlist for the best education on UTIs.
