My name is Mike, and I've lived with advanced metastatic melanoma for almost seven years. In 2024, I had a second recurrence of this advanced cancer, meaning I would have to enter treatment for the third time since 2018. But this cancer vlog isn't one where I complain about the misfortune that I've suffered (OK, there's a little bit of that in here); it's mostly one where I illustrate that - all things considered - I had a pretty good year!
I make these stage 4 cancer vlogs to help my own mental health and to give other people a sense of solidarity or what it's like to live with advanced metastatic disease. A lot of the time, there are people who ask if it's possible to live a good life as an advanced cancer patient. I believe that I have, and that it's possible for me to continue - and hopefully that others can too.
If you're new to this vlog, welcome in. If you've helped support me in 2024, I really appreciate that, too.
Byyyyyeeeee!
