Patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) can have a multitude of symptoms, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, fatigue, and fainting. Improving these symptoms is the main goal of treatment. In this CardioBites video, we explore the recent advances in first-line therapies such as beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, and the new cardiac myosin inhibitors that may invoke a paradigm shift in our treatment of HCM.
