Edmonton (Asian Tribune): Psychologists Association of Alberta celebrated National Psychology by organizing Open House at Edmonton today.
Participants were asked various quiz questions regarding anxiety, depression, symptoms of mental health and resources available.
Dr Harpreet Gill, Registered Psychologist explained in Punjabi about the services available through Alberta Health Services and non profit organizations .
Dr Judi Malone, Registered Psychologist and CEO of association expressed concerns about mental illnesses and accepted that our folks on immigration face so many challenges, language barriers and emotional shocks which adversely affect their mental health leading to depression.
She clarified that many resources are available and community should get awared as to which door to knock.
