Sannaninge Gowda, a 79-year-old gentleman, was diagnosed with both liver and kidney cancer, presenting a complex treatment challenge. His care involved a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Jayanth Reddy, Dr. Reddi Prasad and Dr. Naveen Reddy, working together across Interventional Radiology, HPB Surgery and Urology.

As part of his treatment, Trans-Arterial Radioembolization (TARE) was performed to shrink the liver tumour, achieving more than 70% reduction in tumour size. Following a multidisciplinary tumour board discussion, he underwent robotic liver resection and kidney tumour removal, with the aim of minimising blood loss, enabling faster recovery and preserving kidney function. Today, he is doing well and looking forward to celebrating his 80th birthday with his family—a testament to the power of multidisciplinary cancer care, advanced technology and coordinated surgical expertise.
