I don't always enjoy fighting or sports analogies for cancer patients, but every once in a while I'll buy in. With the NBA Playoffs starting, I thought this would be a good episode of my stage 4 cancer vlog to play around with some crappy analogies.
I mostly felt compelled to do this because it illustrates how rigorous the mental health element of cancer treatment can be. I'm currently NED (no evidence of disease) and having very few side effects from my treatment, and it's STILL a grind and I have to work to make myself to do all the right things.
Is that how it should be? Who's to say. But being a stage 4 cancer patient for 7 years has taught me some things about how to approach the disease.
Hope this helped ya :)
