The Valerie Fund supports childhood cancer survivors who are now pursuing careers in healthcare through scholarship programs. The Valerie Fund reflects the resilience of more than 6,000 children served each year across New Jersey, New York, and Long Island. Vanessa Garcia, a nursing student at Ramapo College, is a childhood cancer survivor who first attended The Valerie Fund's "Camp Happy Times" as a patient. Inspired by her care team, she's now working toward a career in pediatric nursing. Vanessa is one of more than 100 students awarded a scholarship by the non profit organization.
