In this video, I offer teachings to help you be more critical of Western Psychology and its' colonial tactics so that you are less likely to be vulnerable to its' programming. In particular, I discuss the dangers of diagnosis while also acknowledging that it may be helpful for some people. You are encouraged to engage and cultivate a decolonial perspective so that we no longer unconsciously collude with an oppressive paradigm. My hope is that you become a more conscious healer or receiver of therapy so that together we can collectively heal and get free.

Please note: I am not against therapy and understand that therapy in its current form may be helpful to some people. I believe in therapy as it is ultimately an Indigenous practice, though its current form reflects a Western colonial worldview and this leads to great harm to BIPOC and our world.

It is my hope that we can begin to decolonize the practice so that the field can contribute to collective healing and liberation and truly serve the people in these times.
