Ureterocele laser deroofing is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat ureteroceles, which are cystic dilations of the distal ureter that can obstruct urine flow and lead to complications such as hydronephrosis, recurrent infections, or impaired kidney function.
Indications include:
Symptomatic ureteroceles causing obstruction, hydronephrosis, or recurrent urinary tract infections.
Poor drainage or impaired kidney function secondary to the ureterocele.
Prenatal detection of ureterocele with evidence of progressive damage.
