Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer 1 Year Ago - What is Life Like For me Today?

Exactly 365 days ago I got the bad news that I had another stage 4 cancer diagnosis - a metastatic melanoma recurrence in the same spot that it had initially appeared 7 years ago. This is my third cancer diagnosis, and the relentless nature of my disease is why I've started doing cancer patient advocacy, making these vlogs, and talking about my experience.

One year after that diagnosis, my life is in an incredibly more fortunate position that I thought it would be. Being a young adult cancer patient has caused me to change my life in a number of ways, and yet I'm still out here living the way I want to, for the most part. My 'cancer protocol' and the outcomes I've had are not exactly normal, but the reason I share are that I hope as outcomes get better with better medicine and technology, that more people are able to have the kind of experience I'm having.

That, or... no more cancer. But one step at a time.

Until then, thank you for watching, and I'll talk to you soon.
