Meet Faith Selchick, DNP, RN, AGNP-BC, AOCNP, OCN, a Finalist for the 2025 CARE Award

Faith Selchick, DNP, RN, AGNP-BC, AOCNP, OCN, a finalist for the 2025 Cancer Nursing Today CARE Award, speaks about her background, her work as the regional director of Cancer Services at Westchester Medical Center Health Network, and what it means to be named a finalist.
About Faith Selchick, DNP, RN, AGNP-BC, AOCNP, OCN
Faith is an oncology nurse leader with more than 15 years of combined clinical and leadership experience, all within the realm of oncology. She is currently the regional director of Cancer Services at Westchester Medical Center Health Network (Western Region). In this role, she oversees cancer services for three hospitals and an ambulatory care site. She has direct oversight of all facets of oncology, including staffing, oncology nursing practice, ambulatory infusion sites, clinical workflows, operations, and beyond.
She earned her DNP from the University of Connecticut in 2019, MSN (Oncology Nurse Practitioner Program) from Yale University in 2014, her BSN from Duke University in 2011, and her BS in psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2008. She has experience as an inpatient oncology nurse, outpatient infusion/chemotherapy nurse, and an oncology nurse practitioner in various specialties (phase I clinical trials at Yale, Gynecologic Oncology at University of Connecticut, and medical oncology at WMC Health).
Faith is passionate about patient care, elevating the practice of oncology nursing, and ensuring that patients are receiving high-quality care at all phases of their treatment. In addition, she regularly contributes to nursing continuing education courses (writing and editing) and patient education initiatives—such as public guidance on cancer screenings—and prevention and early detection campaigns.

She leads by example and mentors staff, molding them into their roles and advancing their skill sets. She leaves lasting impressions on patient care and always treats patients, colleagues, and staff with respect. Faith is an admired and essential part of the oncology program at our hospital and makes a difference every day.”

Dr. Bhardwaj serves as the director of the Bobbi Lewis Cancer Program and the chief of Medical Oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is also the director of the Cancer Committee and member of the Medical Executive Committee at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Bhardwaj has authored several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He previously held academic appointments at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York Medical College, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
